A couple of years ago Bailey would come and watch me play golf and have a go at it also. Bailey realised he was quite interested in the sport and decided he would like to get some training. His goal was to compete in the Special Olympics Golf Competitions and win a medal. We asked Darrell for some professional sessions on the GPAI golf simulator, in hope that Bailey could reach his goal.
Being blind in one eye, poor hand and eye coordination and poor posture, Darrell showed Bailey how to hold the golf club, how to focus on using just one eye, how to stand and swing like a professional! Bailey has now reached his goal of participating in one of the Regional Special Olympics Golf Competitions, coming in third place!!!
Amazing journey and now he wishes to go further and compete in the Nationals with Special Olympics! Without the help, skill and patience from Darrell, Bailey wouldn’t be smashing balls and hitting some awesome goals!

Gaenor, Sebastian and I wanted to thankyou for the last 3 years of golf with GPAI. We are relocating to Victoria and take away the most wonderful memories. The Tuesday afternoon golf group at Diddillibah is something very special. Seb has loved the friendships, the fun and of course the golf. Darrell’s patience and teaching of Seb took him to the next level with his golf leading to his selection in the Special Olympics Queensland State team. We wish you all the best in building on what is already the best golf program for people with a disability in Australia. Thanks!

Great shop with amazing service. Travelled from Gympie to see the golf items. Downstairs was closed, the owner rang volunteers to come in to accomodate us. Absolutely the best, high quality customer service!! Will be supporting them again for sure.
